notes: Purple beans! An Italian heirloom variety (60 days, sprouted in 7) with purple-tinged foliage. We're told the beans turn green when you cook them, but we didn't try it in 2012: all were eaten raw.
Recent Farm Updates
- June 17, 2013 - Sowed more Danvers Half Long carrots, as well as replacement Black zucchini and both types of beans.
- June 13, 2013 - 6/2 zucchini, 5/30 parsnips beginning to sprout.
- June 10, 2013 - Moskvich tomato starting to flower. Planted out five Aunt Molly's ground cherry (or actually I think seven... some of them were double-seeded).
