Lacinato kale

current status: growing inside

years grown: 2013, 2015, 2016

notes: Also called Tuscan kale or dinosaur kale, this type has narrow non-curly leaves that make it look more like a collard green type of plant. We planted ours in late summer 2012 and it survived the winter smushed under a snow-covered row cover, then grew wonderfully all through the following season.
